Since Italian elections & Silvio Berlusconi are one of the hottest topics today I think it is fun to remind about the incident of 2004 when Italian government sent a stunning 56 million SMS messages to voters as a wake-up call. I think there has never been as extensive usage of mobiles to make social impact as this. Unfortunately, this time the SMS messaging was not used (or it never broke the headlines).
