Yep, you read the title right. PetMobility’s PetCell is the first mobile designed for pets. A very simple adaption of existing products which is abound to make some serious cash in US markets, and possibly worldwide.

Some facts to back this up:

1. 63% of U.S. households own a pet, which equates to 69.1 millions homes
2. Total number of pets in US alone is 360 million. Top 3 pets are: fishes (150 million), cats (90 million) and dogs (74 million);
3. The value of pet supplies is estimated to be $8.7 billion business in 2006 US alone;

An interesting side note is that an average cat owner spends US$29 for toys, dog owners almost the double (US$45). One can only wonder why…
